Warranty Support

Great, so you bent / cracked / broke / wrecked your bike! Good job, that means you are riding your bike! But, you feel that part that failed you should not have, well all you need to do is follow this simple process in order to return it to Cycles Africa for a warranty inspection. The following procedure needs to be followed in order for your claim to be processed swiftly and promptly: Note: If this process is followed, your claim in most cases, will be processed the day it is received. Should a repair be involved our turn around time is a maximum of 48 hours. Customer Warranty Claim Process: 1. Contact Cycles Africa and initiate the return process. 2. Customer pays for incoming freight on all claims! Item is returned to Cycles Africa for inspection. 3. When product arrives, Cycles Africa verifies claim as warranty or non-warranty If  warranty:

a. Repair warranty product and inform customer of status b. Fill out warranty claim form, with full details of the claim c. Invoice customer if COD, including outgoing freight (depending on product specific warranty) d. Ship back to customer (once payment is received if COD) If non-warranty:

a. Contact customer and notify them of non-warranty & any charges that may apply b. Customer pays for out going freight. c. Invoice as required.

A warranty inspection fee of R100 ex Vat will be charged on all claims that are not approved. No claims will be accepted with out a proof of purchase and a fully completed Return Authorization form. Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty: This limited warranty is for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. If you are not satisfied with the performance of this GORE® RIDEON® Cable System please return it to your original place of purchase with proof of purchase for replacement. Cable systems which have been modified, misused, or damaged by abnormal use are not covered. Headset Warranty

110-Series

Headsets in the 110-Series carry a 110-year, no-questions-asked, warranty. Cane Creek warrants its 110-Series headsets for a period of 110-years from the original date of purchase. Any headset that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Cane Creek. This warranty applies to the original owner only. This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration or other conditions judged by Cane Creek to be abnormal, excessive, or improper. It is mandatory that a Return Authorization Number (RA#) be obtained by contacting Cycles Africa before any product is returned. Additionally, a dated Proof of Purchase must accompany the product when returned.

 

100, AER, AngleSet, 40, 10, 5, Solos, Double X, S, C-Series, Tank and Aheadset® Headsets

Cane Creek warrants its headsets for a period of one year from the original date of purchase. Any headset that is found to be defective in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Cane Creek. This warranty applies to the original owner only. This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, alteration, neglect, wear and tear, crash or impact, lack of maintenance or other conditions judged by Cane Creek to be abnormal, excessive, or improper. It is mandatory that a Return Authorization Number (RA#) be obtained by contacting Cycles Africa before any product is returned. Additionally, a dated Proof of Purchase must accompany the product when returned.

Chris King


Chris King has a pretty straight forward warranty policy and we seldom have riders take us up on it!

  • Headsets – 10 years
  • Hubs – 5 years
  • Bottom Brackets – 5 years

This warranty covers material and workmanship defects only and is for the original owner.
It is mandatory that all Chris King products that may have a possible warranty be returned to Cycles Africa and possibly to Chris King for Inspection. It is also mandatory that a Return Authorization Number (RA#) be obtained by contacting Cycles Africa before any product is returned. Additionally, a dated Proof of Purchase must accompany the product when returned.

Hayes Disc Brake


Any Hayes Brake found by the factory to be defective in materials and / or workmanship within one year (two years for EU Countries) from the date of purchase will be repaired or replaced at the option of the manufacturer, free of charge, when received at the factory or authorized distributor locations with proof of purchase, freight prepaid. Any other warranty claims not included in this statement are void. This includes assembly costs (for instance by the dealer), which shall not be covered by Hayes Disc Brake. The warranty does not cover breakage, bending, or damage that may result from crashes or falls.This warranty does not cover and defects or damage caused by alterations or modifications of new Hays Disc Brakes or parts of different manufacturers, improper use or abuse of the product, or failure to follow instructions contained in an instruction manual for Hayes Disc Brake. Any modifications made by the user render the warranty null and void. The cost of normal maintenance or replacement of service items, which are not defective, shall be paid for by the original purchaser. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, and any implied are limited in duration to the same duration as the expressed warranty herein. Hayes Disc Brake shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Customers in countries other than the USA should contact their local Hayes Disc Brake Distributor.

Any Hayes Bike Group (HBG) product found by the factory to be defective in materials and/or workmanship within one year (two years in European Union countries) from the date of purchase will be repaired or replaced at the option of the manufacturer, free of charge, when received at the factory or authorized distributor locations with proof of purchase, freight prepaid. Any other warranty claims not included in this statement are void. This includes assembly costs (for instance by the dealer), which shall not be covered by HBG. This warranty does not cover breakage, bending, or damage that may result from crashes or falls. This warranty does not cover any defects or damage caused by alterations or modification of new HBG products or parts or by normal wear, accidents, improper maintenance, damages caused by the use of parts of different Manufacturers, improper use or abuse of the product, or failure to follow instructions contained in the applicable instruction manual. Any modifications made by the user will render the warranty null and void. The cost of normal maintenance or replacement of service items, which are not defective, shall be paid for by the original purchaser. This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties, and any implied are limited in duration to the same duration as the expressed warranty herein.
